  1. Using the Online Bible on a CD-ROM

  4. Running the Online Bible from a CD-ROM is easy.
  5.  
  6. FAST START
  7. ~~~~~~~~~~
  8.    If you have a colour monitor and do not wish to change any settings or
  9.    add any notes to the Bible you can run the entire program from the
  10.    CD-ROM.  Do the following:
  11.  
  12.    a) Make sure you have at least 20 files specified in your CONFIG.SYS
  13.  
  14.        FILES=20
  15.  
  16.       A larger number will not hurt.
  17.  
  18.    b) Reboot your computer if you had less than 20 files specified in
  19.       your CONFIG.SYS
  20.  
  21.    c) Issue command:
  22.  
  23.        mm X
  24.  
  25.    where X is the drive letter for your CD player. Ignore error message
  26.    when you end the program about not being able to update the OPTIONS
  27.    file.

  30. HARD DISK INSTALL
  31. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  32.    To change settings or add notes to the Bible you must install a small
  33.    portion of the Online Bible on your hard drive. This requires less than
  34.    100K.

  36. 1) Do a CD-ROM install using the install program. Follow the on-screen
  37.    instructions to create a directory on your hard drive that will
  38.    contain your personal verse notes, topics, and lexicon notes.
  39.  
  40. 2) Read the manual provided on the CD-ROM using the Mini-Menu program we
  41.    supply. You can order a printed manual for about $5 in the US from:
